Mary Katrantzou has always been famed for extreme prints but her SS/14 collection shown this year showed she wasn't just a one trick pony. The collection started with fabrics blown up prints of shoes, focusing on the details, laces and stamping on men's brogues in dull muted colours, the colour then started to brighten still keeping the same details of the laces. It then moved on to the most beautifully structured floral printed and embellished dresses.
I love how Mary has captured such a range of techniques in one collection, her boyish oversize prints and feminine heavy embellishment are at opposite ends of the spectrum but some how work so well in the same collection.
